Woodcote House

At Woodcote we aim to provide boys with a home away from home. This applies to days boys as much as boarders, since day boys have the opportunities and many of the benefits of full and weekly boarders.

Graduating to boarding
Woodcote operates a ‘graduated approach’ to boarding which means a day boy can get a taste of boarding by staying at school two or three nights a week. This option is very popular. Often, it’s boys themselves who ask to board, usually on Thursdays and Fridays, which means they can enjoy the fun of our Friday night entertainments programme.

Although not compulsory, the majority of Day Boys do choose full or weekly boarding in their final years as this is an excellent preparation for Public School.
