At any one time there are up to 25 Day Boys at Woodcote House. Day Boys can start from age seven (Year 3) and above and stay until the end of Year 8, taking Common Entrance or Scholarship at 13+. Local parents are advised that Day Boy places are taken up very quickly.
The week starts on Monday at 8.20 am and Day Boys immediately join with the Boarders for assembly, registration and their supervised Prep time. Day Boys join in all the activities and make use of all the facilities available to Boarders. Day Boys are picked up each weekday at 6.00 pm or at 7.10 pm. If they have been involved with early evening activities they will have had supper with the Boarders for which there is no extra charge.

There is Saturday morning school most weeks and this finishes at 12.30 pm when Day Boys are collected. Pupils selected for school matches will stay at school for lunch. At Exeat weekends (and at Half Term) school finishes for all Day Boys at 12 noon on Friday and the boys return on Tuesday morning (Monday if it’s a Short Exeat).
Several Day Boys choose to stay at school for a regular one, two or three nights per week, giving them the opportunity to sample life as a Boarder and join in the fun, particularly on Friday evenings when there is always special entertainment laid on.

Day Boys are valued members of our school community and teachers make no distinction between Day Boys and Boarders, expecting the same high standard of behaviour from all boys.
