As a Hungry for History Lead Ambassador School, Woodcote boys were honoured to be part of the Waterloo200 celebrations on Sunday 21st June. marching down The Mall dressed in period costume and waving to the huge crowds gathered was a great thrill for all. They had worked hard in Art lessons to construct massive heads of Blucher and Napoleon as well as hobby horses on which to ride! The costumes had been made during half-term and some last minute drill instruction on Horse Guards ensured we had a Woodcote regiment to be proud of! Marching past Buckingham Palace, alongside massed bands, as part of an international celebration of the last decisive battle in Europe will be an experience the boys will never forget.
