WELCOME TO WOODCOTE HOUSE SCHOOL FOR BOYS
Despite the current situation, Woodcote House School continues to provide its boys with a broad range of online academic lessons and extra-curricular activities. Since half-term, socially distanced activities have also been taking place in the school grounds for our Year 6 boys.
Our Registrar, Charlotte Brehaut, would be delighted to hear from you if you are interested in a place for your son(s) at Woodcote House. Following the update to the Government’s guidelines, we are now able to invite you for an external tour of the school with the Headmaster.
Please email Charlotte at email@example.com in the first instance and she will contact you to discuss the Admissions process, and to arrange a tour. Please do have a look at the rest of our website, including the ‘Virtual Tour’, and visit the ‘Admissions’ section for further details.
Set in 30 acres of beautiful grounds, Woodcote House School has been owned and run by my family for 85 years and I am very proud to be the 4th member of the Paterson family to head the school and take it into a new era.
Born and educated at Woodcote, I returned with my own young family 24 years ago, teaching mathematics and subsequently taking on the role of Deputy Headmaster. With the benefit of that experience and commitment, I will ensure that your boys thrive in a happy, stable and nurturing environment, with particular emphasis placed on the key values of hard work, good manners, tolerance and mutual respect.
Together with a dedicated and experienced staff, a stimulating and flexible curriculum and small class sizes, we enable boys to reach their full academic potential. The boys are also afforded a wealth of extra-curricular opportunities, with particular attention paid to sport, music, drama and art. I believe that Woodcote offers a unique education, laying the vital foundations to prepare the boys for the challenges that lie ahead, and giving them the necessary skills, confidence and enthusiasm with which to succeed.
I look forward to meeting you.
The boarders enjoyed a weekend of swimming and bowling at Guildford Spectrum this weekend.
The Art Department is as popular as ever and the boys have produced some wonderful pieces already this term. Year 8 boys created alternative realities drawn on perspex in the style of Hombre McSteez and Year 4 had fun with their oil landscapes.
The boys were so happy to be back enjoying Thursday afternoon activities with clay pigeon shooting, golf, gardening, cookery and music just some of the options available.
