As ever there have been changes upstairs to accommodate for our new influx of full and part boarders. We are proud of the fact that there is not a single bed spare in the school and physically we can no longer fit any more boys in! To ensure they are all comfortable, a complete overhaul of Green Common Room has taken place, the room now has custom built seating for 30 as well as Blue LED down lighting!
A new dorm has been created to fit our 5th Form boarders, which may become a full monitors dorm in the Michaelmas and Lent terms.
The end of the last term saw the revival of New dormitory too, leaving the 4th Form boys in luxury…let’s hope they can look after it!
Miss Delaney and I have moved into a renovated office upstairs to keep a close eye on the goings on, whether I will be able to do any work is yet to be discovered, but we can certainly gauge a better read on what is happening upstairs.
This term I have left Sundays relatively free, as we now have over 40 full boarders. Plenty will be put on here at the school and for the 6th Form it will be a great time to do some thorough revision. That said, we have already had a visit from the Zorb Football men, where there was very little football and a great deal or ‘Zorbing’!
Next week the boys will be able to do some rock climbing here at school as I have hired an 8-meter wall. Amazing what can be found these days!
The Summer Term is busier than ever with plenty on for all. A date to point out is 13th May for our first ‘Big Weekend’, an idea to get some of those boys who have not yet boarded into school for the night as well as those who have never spent a weekend at Woodcote to experience what it is all about. I will be emailing you all in the next few days with information – Plug over!
